Davis is a vibrant, progressive university community of 60,000 located between Napa, Sacramento and San Francisco. Our laboratory is located on the Davis Main Campus. As home to the NIH-funded Knockout Mouse Project (KOMP) and the Mutant Mouse Regional Resource Center (MMRRC), UC Davis hosts more than 30,000 mutant mouse lines as live mice, frozen germplasm, and/or ES cell lines. It also has a state of the art Genome Center offering proteomics and next-generation sequencing services. The microbiology community is highly collaborative, and has world leaders studying the microbiome, microbial ecology, Brucella, and HIV among others.
